WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Sen. Orrin Hatch Thursday issued the following statement on the 13th Anniversary of the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001, that took the lives of over 3,000 people:

It’s hard to believe it has now been 13 years since our nation suffered the greatest attack on the homeland since Pearl Harbor. The memory of the morning of September 11, 2011 and those we lost will be forever with us. Instead of breaking our nation’s spirit, the terrorists who perpetuated that attack only united a country and instilled in us a stronger resolve to fight for freedom. On this day and every September 11, we pause to remember those we lost that day and the loved ones they left behind. We also pause to thank our military members and their families who so selflessly serve our country. We should all be proud of the example America continues to set for the world in our commitment to protect our natural rights of freedom and liberty.

Why was obamas speech not headline in SGN today? Maybe because the content was insignificant, weak and predictable.
I think the most interesting thing about obamas speech yesterday was his lead statement was assuring use that ISIS is not a Islamic religious group because religious groups don’t kill others in the name of religion . I wonder why that was so important to Hussain Obama that Americans know that? Are is he speaking to a difference audience .
That’s interesting sence 80’% of Muslims in America believe in sharia law.

Because the local response would be insignificant, weak, predictable and useless. Much like your comments.

Politicians who are older than 70 and have been collecting a paycheck from the taxpayers for more than 8 years are nothing more than public assistance freeloaders who couldn’t make that kind of money in the private sector. The only public service they should provide is to step aside for someone else to have a crack at making this country what it used to be.

Did you hear Hussain obamas speech yesterday ? We now have a self appointed spokesperson for Islam , so Americans know the difference between good and bad Muslims . Would it not have been better if the spokes person be Muslim ? Is there something we are not being told?

That gay Halfrican al-Obama will say the exact opposite an hour later if it suits his mood. Maybe it is short-term memory loss from his doper days. (yesterday and all before) Who knows, but I don’t give his words any credence so I don’t even listen. Pretty funny, you said it, al-Obama now lecturing on Islam, I wonder if he is deluded enough to believe it himself.

BIG NEWS! yesterday Obama renewed the US WAR OF TERROR. Today is 9/11 in case you missed the memo….”Our objective is clear: we will degrade, and ultimately destroy, ISIL through a comprehensive and sustained counter-terrorism strategy”. Obama 9/10/2014

It’s hard to believe that 13 years after 9/11, Utahans are still unable to see through the Hatch facade and reelect him.

    • Lance September 11, 2014 at 1:07 pm

In office since 1977, Hatch is a lifer. Americans carp about their govt. aplenty, and then re-elect them at a 90% rate at that level. The power of money and gerrymandering cannot be overcome, too many people are mesmerized in front of their TV.

ISIL /ISIS/ISLAMIC STATE is our baby. We gave birth to it. Happy 9-11 everyone!

    • bobber September 11, 2014 at 12:04 pm

I should clarify by “our” I mean Bush/Cheney and the crew that decided it would be a good idea to bring “democracy” to Iraq and get rid of “the bad man” Saddam Hussein … cheers

It’s Bush fault God I’ve heard that too many times
But now it air power to the rescue
        From USS GEORGE BUSH
        NOW THAT IRONIC

        • bobber September 11, 2014 at 7:02 pm

In retrospect, Saddam Hussein is exactly what was needed then and exactly what we need over there now.

I got a Novel idea lets elect a president and in his first year he can travel around the world apologizing for Americas sins and pull our troops out of Afghanistan and Iraq . And if we try hard not to make the terrorist mad . they will stop killing other Muslims inside there own country .
Bobber don’t you have a brain? Do you really think it’s about what happened in New York ?
