Robert V. Zickella Jr., 49, faces second-degree felony charges for threat of terrorism.

“Robert had left messages on Saturday threatening to blow up the FBI building,” St. George Police Officer Zack Bahlmann said in his probable cause statement supporting the arrest. “Robert also threatened to rape the FBI agents and their families.”

According to Utah Criminal Code 76-5-107.3(1)(A), a person commits a threat of terrorism if the person threatens to commit any offense involving bodily injury, death or substantial property damage, and either threatens the use of a weapon of mass destruction or threatens the use of a hoax weapon of mass destruction.

This isn’t the first time Zickella has had run-ins with the law. According to court documents dating all the way back to 1986, he has been arrested for aggravated burglary, kidnapping, sex offenses, lewdness, assault, criminal mischief and other criminal offenses in Utah.

Officers located Zickella at the Roadway Inn, located at 999 E. Red Hills Parkway in St. George.

Zickella was arrested and booked into the Washington County Purgatory Correctional Facility on Monday. His bail is set at $10,000.

Zickella is scheduled to make his first court appearance Tuesday.

Persons arrested or charged are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law or as otherwise decided by a trier-of-fact.

Hey what a “good looking specimen” he is. Maybe he and Jaime Tactay could get together. Sounds like they’d be a perfect match. . .

While most everyone can appreciate sarcastic humor, simply for “shock value”, doesn’t anyone who has already replied, by 3:47 p.m., have anything (even “semi-intelligent”) to post?

Reading about the problems he has had for the past 28 years, I think it’s safe to assume that his bail (in any amount) should have been denied. Calling the FBI Office 112 times within several days also makes one wonder if he wanted (very badly) to get caught? Being in and out of jail for 28 years, perhaps it’s easier for this individual to receive “3 hots and a cot” for free, rather than working for it?

Who knows ? – for whatever it’s worth; at least he’s not amongst society, for the time being.

It is not free to go to jail. It is called pay to stay they charge you 40$ a day for your time in jail.

It seems this poor, outstanding model citizen had a temporary lapse in judgement, something that some prayer, tithing and a good mission can help him stay worthy.

Hey…I saw this guy last weekend in North Las Vegas on a street corner waving a sign that said “the end is near”. So I bought him a cheeseburger and a cup of coffee.

Looks like the type you’d expect to find hanging out around the Bundy ranch.
