“We received a complaint that Sarah Rose and another man were in a residence they did not have permission to be in,” St. George Police Capt. Mike Giles said. “The resident contacted us, which started the investigation.”

After police began investigating the complaint, Giles said they were able to determine that property was missing from the residence where Rose and Nelson had been trespassing.

“Officers were able to track down the couple through follow-up and leads received,” Giles said. “Through those interviews, we were able to determine that the man was Lou Nelson.”

Officers were also able to determine the whereabouts of  Nelson and Rose. Officers went to the location and were able to locate both parties.

“During the course of that part of the investigation, officers were able to locate property taken from the residence,” Giles said. “They were arrested for the burglary.”
