ST. GEORGE — Local author of “A Feminist’s Redemption,” Jayme Burgess Payne, will be speaking at the Women in Business luncheon in Cedar City Wednesday from noon-1 p.m.
“A Feminist’s Redemption” is the story of a lost young working woman misguided by the prevalent selfish themes of today’s society. Alayna flees from tradition, family, and romance, only to realize that these ideals that she has cast aside are those she craves most. The question arises: Has she destroyed all hope of happiness and love?
There will be a guest performance by Chris McCormick.

Does her husband know what she is up to? She better be quiet or she gonna be labeled a trouble maker!
What? She is speaking her mind? In Utah?? Does the Quorom know about this?
No, anything but. If you would actually read the article and apply comprehension skills…and do some off-site research, you’d find that this is just more religious, ANTI-feminist, pro-patriarchal/misogynist rubbish.
She in trouble now!!!
There’s a video about this stupidity on youtube. I’m not sure if links are allowed, but you can search under “Alayna – A Feminist’s Redemption”.
Be forewarned, it’s terrible. It’s a story set to music and the music is really bad. And it’s nothing but straw men arguments about her misinterpretations of feminism.
Clearly this “author” doesn’t understand feminism at all.
