Sunset on the Square leads community sing-along: ‘Let it Go’ Frozen

ST. GEORGE – In partnership with Write it Up! and the City of St. George, Sunset on the Square, now in its seventh year, will present the movie Frozen on Friday as part of their free summer movie series. The movie will play on a giant screen at dusk in the St. George Town Square, 175 East 200 North.

Friday’s event is set to be extra special as Sunset on the Square sets its sights on going viral with a community sing along of Frozen’s popular hit, “Let it Go.” Dawn McLain, event coordinator, said:

This week will be an exceptional event. Frozen is a wonderful family movie that is sure to be a classic. The music is so fun and catchy and has created so much buzz on the internet and YouTube. There are literally hundreds of father/daughter ‘Let it Go’ sing along videos and they are all so adorable to watch. Sunset on the Square will be joining in on that fun by creating a crowd sing along to the song. Our goal is to have an incredible version of the song featuring our community. To do this, we need everyone to come on down to the park to participate so we are encouraging our community to come out, have a great night out with the family and to be a part of the video.

The St. George Town Square hosts the free movie series on the second and fourth Fridays of each month from May 23 through August 22. It is a popular community activity that sees between 2,000-4,000 people attending each event.

Activities start at 6 p.m. and include food vendors, conga lines, the Dealer Collision Water Balloon Challenge, the Hokey Pokey and the Findlay Automotive’s Kia Hamsters.

“There are literally hundreds of father/daughter ‘Let it Go’ sing along videos and they are all so adorable to watch”
    ,,,
LOL guess they don’t realize what the song is about 😉

Read the lyrics. Personally I think it’s propaganda telling our kids to turn their backs on religion, the Founding Father’s and that old dusty Constitution, values we’ve always head, traditional marriage, etc, and instead focus on their feelings and embrace their true, gay / immoral self. “distance” (like going off to college and getting enlightened) makes all the things their parents taught them “seem small”. “No right, no wrong, no rules for me I’m free!” “I’m never going back, The past is in the past!”. I think that entire movie was made to deliver that one message through that one song.

OMG! How about “It’s a Small World?” What sinister anti-American message is hidden in that one?

I guess not. Please enlighten us with your wisdom oh mighty one!

And when you play it backwards there are all kinds of satanic messages……snort. Too much PROPOGANDA.

that song fits perfectly with the story line. There is no propganda. But it seems your view of it is skewed. Im all for conspiracies but this isnt one.

Funny…propaganda…I hear a song about a Disney character who doesn’t have to keep her power a secret anymore and is happy about it and feels free….I must have missed a few versus in there somewhere that talks about being gay and religion? Weird

No, that movie was all about Disney saying, “We have this song and we know it will be a hit. Let’s write a movie around it!” Seriously, if Walt had seen this poor excuse for a movie on a story he wanted to do so badly, he would have vomited.
