Anna Carolyn “Kelly” Johnson Hiatt, passed away on June 19, 2014, My Mother, best friend and confidante journeyed back into the loving arms of her husband, daughter, family and friends who have passed on before her. She was loved by so many and will be deeply missed.
Born in Bear River City on October 6th, 1936 to Joseph Lorenzo Johnson and Ella Zinck Johnson. Kelly was the youngest of six children (Paul, Ronald, Zelda, Maryann and Arline.) She lost her precious mother at the age of six.
When she was young, she dreamed of the city lights and moved to Salt Lake to live with her sister Zelda, and her husband Robert Livingston. She helped Zelda take care of her babies and worked as a waitress. She then became a secretary at IML Trucking and attended beauty school.
On July 6th, 1957, she married the love of her life, Zane (Corky) Hendricks Hiatt. They raised four children and lived happily together for 51 years.
When her children reached Jr. High School, Kelly went to work for Salt Lake City School District to share her gift of baking. She truly enjoyed her life at West High School, baking and cooking for several schools in the district. Nothing pleased her more than knowing that thousands of children were getting their hot breakfast and lunch so they could work hard on school.
Corky and Kelly built a summer home on Tabiona Mountain, where they made some of their happiest memories. Their family has decided to lay them to rest, together, on the mountain they loved, during a tree planting ceremony next month. Please contact the family for further information. Survived by: her daughter Glenda Cooper (Larry Beckler), son in-law Michael Jewell Hoff, stepson Michael (Monica) Hiatt, grandchildren Rainy Lee (Isaac) Peterson, Drake (Arline) Beckler, Obadiah Hiatt Hoff, Nichole Jewell Hoff, Brian (Shelly) Hiatt, Jason Hiatt, Ashley (Neko) Jensen; and her 12 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband Zane, daughter Deborah Hiatt Hoff, Stepson Joseph Kim and granddaughter Hillary Joe Hiatt.

When you are awake in the mornings hush, I am the swift uplifting rush of quiet birds in circles flight.
