WASHINGTON CITY – The Washington City Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in locating two male suspects who assaulted another male in the parking lot of El Pollo Loco, 745 W. Telegraph St. in Washington, around 12:20 p.m. Thursday.
A newer model black Honda Odyssey minivan with a “Desert Thunder” sticker or insignia in the back window exited the drive-up window after the vehicle occupants received their food order. The minivan then stopped in the parking lot.
Shortly after, a passenger in the minivan became involved in a verbal argument with the driver of a pickup truck that had been in line behind the van at the drive-up window.
During the verbal altercation between the minivan passenger and the truck driver, the driver of the minivan exited the vehicle and assaulted the driver of the truck. Both the minivan passenger and driver then left the area “at a high rate of speed,” according to witnesses. Their direction of travel is unknown. The truck driver was transported to Dixie Regional Medical Center with serious injuries resulting from the assault.
The suspects are both described as white males in their mid to late 20s. One was described as having shoulder length “scraggly” hair. One removed his shirt during the incident.
Anyone who was at or near this location around the time of the incident, or has other information relating to it, and has not yet been interviewed by officers is urged to contact the Washington City Police Department through the dispatch center at 435-634-5730. Information will be kept confidential to the extent allowed by law.

Better be careful who you jump out of your car, take your shirt off, and come at. Some of us have concealed carry permits, and are willing to use that right.

It was NOT at the El Pollo Loco it was at the Jack in the Box. We need to catch theses guys. Please help us find them.
The victim is on his third day in the hospital. This is very serious.
Time to get my concealed carry and stop putting it off. This town is getting more crazy every day. All the people moving here need to know this is utah and you better not try **** or you will get shot.
Really life? That’s what we need, rather than leaving when somebody is coming at you, shooting at them in broad daylight in public? I hope you were joking but then again there are alot of gun toting git errr done IDIOTS. The poor guy at the Vegas Wal-Mart a few weeks ago had a gun but had no Idea who else had a gun and lost his life, was it worth it? I can understand at the home and even then how many kids often their own get a hold of these guns a tragedy happens, again is it real worth it to carry it in public?

Two males in their 20’s out in mom’s mini van. Probably 2 ex HS football players frustrated that their glory days are over. Must act out on general public to keep the high of the ol’ playing days intact. Probably not first time they have assaulted somebody.
Hope he is doing better and home now! I was a bystander there and helped at the scene!

Well, because of the Desert Thunder sticker in the back of the Minivan.. I would say Desert Hills/ Hidden Valley would probably be a good place to look for said suspects. I don’t know why that hasn’t already been happening.
Too old to take a butt whipping….too young to die. That’s why I carry concealed. Assault me, especially two on one….you will get shot. End of story.
