MISSING: 12-year-old Stevie Rae Shane

ST. GEORGE — Stevie Rae Shane, 12, of South Salt Lake went missing Friday.  Police are asking the public for help in finding the missing girl.

Stevie Rae Shane has been missing since 10 p.m. Friday, a South Salt Lake Police detective said Saturday afternoon.

Description

  • Hair: brown
  • Height and weight:  5 feet tall, 88 pounds
  • Eyes: blue
  • Clothing: Last seen wearing a purple and pink button shirt and purple pants

Stevie Rae was last seen at a Youth Services Group Home, which is not a lock-down facility.

Her parents are cooperating with police in an effort to locate their daughter.

The detective said that an endangered missing alert has been activated due to Stevie Rae’s age but did not specify the alert system. National Center for Missing and Exploited Children does not have a listing for Stevie Rae Shane as of 5:15 p.m. Saturday and no Amber Alert has been issued.

Stevie Rae has a history of running away and frequents the Cottonwood Heights and West Valley City areas, police said. One such reported incident was in May 2014 according to Fox 13 News in Salt Lake City.
