ST. GEORGE – Two local businesses are teaming up to offer a shopping opportunity for a good cause on June 21. Community members can shop for bargains at an upcoming rummage sale and can also contribute to the cause prior to the event.
Red Cliffs Health & Rehab and Dixie Home Rehab have joined forces to host a large rummage sale for Dixie Care & Share. The sale will take place from 7 a.m. to noon on Saturday, June 21 in the parking lot of Red Cliffs Health & Rehab, 1745 E. 280 North, located behind Red Cliffs Mall.
“We’re planning on it being big, and we’re excited to be raising money for them,” Hayley Pearson, a Red Cliffs Health & Rehab employee and event organizer, said. “Anything we can do to help.”
Items are currently being collected to be sold at the event, and donations are being accepted through Thursday. Donated items can be dropped off at Red Cliffs Health & Rehab, or volunteers can arrange to pick them up. To have donations picked up, call 435-590-2072.
All proceeds from the sale will benefit Dixie Care & Share, where the need for aid increases during the summer months when children of homeless families are out of school.
“The more money we can raise the better off they are,” Pearson said. “I know this is their big time of need.”
A wide variety of items will be sold at the event, from clothing to baby items to furniture.
“We’ve got a whole trailer full right now,” Pearson said.
