Man partially ejected during vehicle rollover

BEAVER DAM, Ariz. — A 21-year-old man was partially ejected from his vehicle during a rollover near Beaver Dam, Ariz. Tuesday afternoon. He was flown by helicopter to the University Medical Center in Las Vegas with serious but not life threatening injuries.

The man was driving north on Rincon Road, a frontage road adjacent to Interstate 15 near Beaver Dam in Arizona. At approximately 1:30 p.m. Arizona time – 2:30 p.m. in Utah – the man lost control, his passenger car rolled, during which time he was partially ejected, Arizona Highway Patrol Officer Thomas Jones told St. George News.

During the rollover, he sustained serious injuries that didn’t appear to be life threatening, Jones said. The most significant injury was a head injury, Jones said.

He was transported by Mercy Air Helicopter to University Medical Center In Las Vegas.

He was the only occupant in the car and speed was a factor in this accident, Jones said.

The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office, the Beaver Dam Fire Department, Mercy Air Helicopter, and Arizona Highway Patrol all assisted with the accident.
