ST. GEORGE – A motorcycle rider was taken to the hospital after colliding with a car on the Bloomington area roundabout at Interstate 15 Exit 4 Wednesday afternoon.

The St. George Communications Center was alerted to a motorcycle-versus-car crash around 4:15 p.m., Wednesday, St. George Police Sgt. Sam Despain said.

The driver was moving the car through the roundabout toward Wal-Mart, at the same time, coming down from southbound I-15, the motorcycle pulled into the roundabout and collided with the car. The motorcycle rider sustained non-life threatening injuries, Despain said, and was transported to Dixie Regional Medical Center by Gold Cross Ambulance Service.

The motorcycle rider was cited for not yielding to oncoming traffic, Despain said.

This report is based on preliminary information provided by the authorities and may not contain the full scope of findings.
