ST. GEORGE – Gov. Michael O. Leavitt will speak on “Religious Freedom and the Practice Thereof” during a free program in the Cox Auditorium at Dixie State University on Sunday at 6 p.m.
DSU President Stephen Nadauld will introduce Leavitt, who will present a very timely and thought-provoking talk discussing the situation of religion and religious freedoms in the United States today:

- Religion as a critical element in the functioning of democracy
- Americans have believed they were accountable to God and therefore conducted themselves voluntarily with God’s laws
Among the many roles Leavitt has filled are Utah governor for three terms from 1993-2003 and served on President George W. Bush’s Cabinet.
“Raging Red” of DSU will be singing “Amazing Grace” to begin the program. So gov Leavitt is giving an speech backed by the Mormons on Sunday. Well great. But wait? He’s working on Sunday? Isn’t that a sin? Or is he just one of those “Do as I say, not as I do” Mormons that are so prevalent around here? I wonder…..
Yes Simone sometimes individuals work on Sunday to help save you and your families freedoms and religious beliefs. They even work on Sunday trying to convey the message from God to help make society become better and safer. This ensues that most of Gods children can stay home on Sunday. Safely indulging in their own selflessness and acts of self serving deeds. Then hoping that society can raise their children morally for them. They trust in government to solve all their problems as the moral fibers of society waste away. It’s makes no difference, fighting for your freedom on Sunday during war time, patrolling on Sunday as police officer for your physical safety or teaching the word of God for your spiritual safety on Sunday. It is done for you and all those you know. Protecting the freedom God has promised to all men. Any thing else
And you’re a wizard?! The long lost Wizard of God?! Wow!
