ST. GEORGE – Three days of events came to an end and winners were announced as SkyWest Airline’s 14th annual Mini Indy race concluded Friday afternoon.

“The race day is the pinnacle of the three-day event,” said Marissa Snow, a spokeswoman for SkyWest Airlines. “Thirty teams, local teams as well as companies as far away as Brazil, came to participate.”

The race held at the Ridge Top Complex at the old St. George Airport. St. George Mayor Jon Pike even sang the National Anthem at the start of the race Friday. SkyWest partners with the City of St. George  each year for the event.

The race raises money for United Way Dixie. Since the race’s inception, it has raised nearly $1 million for the charity.

“SkyWest believes in giving back to the community that we live in and work,” Snow said.
