History: CP-P has won the only other matchup between these two teams since Dixie elevated to Division II. They beat the Red Storm 71-62 in the first round of the 2010 NCAA tournament en route to a national championship. It was Dixie’s first invitation as a Division II program.

Game outlook: This is a matchup of the #2 teams from the PacWest and the CCAA. CP-P has the history, having won the NCAAs in 2010 after reaching the title game in 2009. They are a top region team every year and force opponents to adjust to their stingy zone defense. They guard the three superbly and are tough down low. If Dixie can knock down the open elbow shots and aggressively attack the offensive glass they will have the advantage. If the game is close at the end, give the advantage to the Red Storm as the Broncos have been notoriously awful at the charity stripe, especially at the end of close games this year.
