PAROWAN — A silver SUV traveling southbound in the left lane near mile post 80 on Interstate 15 lost control after the left rear tire blew out. The SUV then went off the right side of the road and rolled at about 4:40 p.m. on Friday.
According to a statement released by the Utah Highway Patrol, the SUV came to rest on its right side on the westbound frontage road.
The driver, a man, 36, was uninjured, however his wife, a passenger in the SUV, was pinned inside and had to be extracted.
There were three children also in the car, ages 4, 10 and 13. The driver and all of the passengers in the car were wearing their seat belts.
All occupants were transported to Valley View Medical Center in Cedar City by ambulance. The woman sustained moderate injuries, the man and the children were treated and released, the statement said.
