About Specialties Automotive Group

Specialties Automotive Group planted its automotive service and sales center on Bluff Street in St. George in 2013, bringing a Southern Utah counterpart to its home shop in Bountiful well-established for over a decade.

The service center seeks to meet the needs of owners of high-end vehicles, needs that had not previously been met in Southern Utah. It was car owners telling Specialties Automotive owner, Jared Thompson, about their difficulties in finding knowledgeable and able service, stocked inventory, maintenance and repair for their high-end cars in St. George that inspired him to open his second shop in St. George – that and the weather, he said.

When it comes to servicing domestic, foreign, hybrid or high-end vehicles, Specialties Auto gives the owner options. Thompson said he chose his St. George sales and service management teams from those who have been with him in Bountiful for years, people he trusts as family. Read more about the company’s service manager and mechanic, Niko Zotos, and his unique approach here. Specialties Auto welcomes all kinds of vehicles as well as those high-end models that require particular expertise.

The company is not a franchise dealership with any given car maker, Thompson said, and therefore is able to price both service and sales competitively.

Located on a site that has some history, Specialties Automotive Group and Thompson are entirely new to St. George in 2013 with no connection to any of the property’s former tenants, owners or businesses associated with the location. Specialties Automotive Group has an A+ rating assigned to it unilaterally by the Better Business Bureau. They bring over 10 years of experience in the business from their shop in Bountiful, with a long established reputation for honesty and integrity through customer service.

    Guns = bad and scary

    Guns = inanimate objects–neither bad, nor scary. More people are killed annually by baseball bats. And I still like that sport…

    And if we can’t finance you, no one can!

    Hoo doggy — assault rifles, ammunition and NASCAR tix! These boys understand their clientele. Throw in a free bail bond, an angel tattoo and some pork rinds and you got yerself a going concern.

    Maybe we’ll get to add this dealership to the growing list of STG businesses that are heavily involved in fraud. Time will tell. It saddens me somewhat that one of the prizes ins’t an RPG launcher or land mine or IED. 🙁

    I’m always amazed how a business will open exactly where a like businesses failed. In this case, multiple like businesses. Why do they believe they are so much better? Or that it is something residents need or want? I don’t care what you are raffling, St. George (better yet, southern Utah) residents will attend anything that has free food or raffles. Once it’s all said and done and all the prizes and hoopla are in the rear view mirror, they won’t buy anything and this dealership will too close up shop.
