News Short: Snow Canyon water infrastructure project closes main road

SNOW CANYON STATE PARK – Snow Canyon Drive, the main route in Snow Canyon State Park, will be closed to through traffic from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 11. The closure is due to an ongoing project to update the park’s water infrastructure, including installation of a waterline that runs along the road.

The closure will impact Snow Canyon Drive from just north of the campground to the Lower Galoot parking lot. Visitors can still enter the park from either the north or south entrances during this time, but will not be able to drive through. All parking areas and trailheads will remain open.

    Today is Wednesday. Is the road closed on Thursday (tomorrow)? Or yesterday.

      No Lee, it is closed on Tuesday, as stated. That is, Feb. 11. We’ve added the date in lest anyone else was confused. Thanks for asking.
