Game outlook: Tonight is a good match-up between two of the conference leaders. The outcome will help determine seeding and possible season-title possibilities. Dixie is currently in third in the PacWest and Dominican sits at fifth. It is unlikely the PacWest conference season champion will have more than three losses. Dixie State has a favorable schedule with most of its remaining games at home, including a rematch against PacWest leader Cal Baptist. Dominican is on a roll, beating Chaminade earlier and now coming off a win at Point Loma, something the Red Storm was unable to do. DSU has the height advantage and will have to exploit that tonight.
Women’s Basketball
Dixie State’s women’s basketball team also plays Dominican University this evening. The Lady Storm are 8-10 and 6-6 in conference and the Lady Penguins are 4-15 and 4-9. Tipoff is at 5 p.m at Burns Arena and is broadcast on 91.3 FM.
