WASHINGTON CITY —A two-car accident on Tuesday at about 6:30 p.m. at the intersection of Telegraph and Main Street in Washington City slowed traffic for about 30-40 minutes but resulted in no injuries.
A Honda passenger car traveling southbound on Main Street entered the intersection on a yellow light and attempted to make a left-hand turn when it was struck by a northbound Honda passenger car in the intersection, Washington City Police spokesman, Ed Kantor said.
“There were no injuries and both vehicles had to be towed,” Kantor said. Both cars entered the intersection on the yellow light and apparently just were not paying attention, he said.
Due to the circumstances, there were no citations issued, Kantor said.

Ok…I think it’s time we install traffic cams. Open a traffic enforcement office. That will create jobs! As a city we can start holding parties accountable for running yellow lights,texting while driving,etc. Think about the security aspects as well “City” Getting traffic cams will put a few more eyes on the streets when law enforcement is dealing with some BS DV issue.
