WASHINGTON CITY – A traffic stop on Sunday landed a St. George man in jail on multiple drug-related charges.
Christian David Serage, 19, was pulled over around 11 p.m. by the Washington City Police Department. Noticing a suspicious odor, officers searched the car and found a distributable amount of marijuana and spice packaged for sale, said Ed Kantor, Washington City Police public information officer.
Serage was charged with drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia, both class-B misdemeanors, and manufacturing and distributing a controlled substance, a third-degree felony. He was booked into the Washington County’s Purgatory Correctional Facility on $6,166 total bail.
Persons arrested or charged are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law or as otherwise decided by a trier-of-fact.
