Pearl Ellen Miller Bush passed away January 4, 2014. She was born March 31, 1927 at Miami, Arizona to Paul and Rita Scott Miller.  She married Eliot Theo Bush on January 29, 1946 in Winthrop, Arkansas.

Pearl was raised near Pomerene, Arizona where she attended school through Jr. High.  She loved being near her Grandparents and large family in Arizona and told many stories of their experiences especially about living in Happy Valley.  Pearl learned to play the piano beautifully and taught others to play. Her parents and 10 siblings moved to Arkansas in the early 1940’s to escape the draught conditions in Arizona and 4 more children were born to Paul & Rita after moving to Arkansas.  After graduating from Winthrop High School in 1945, Pearl worked for a short time at the Red River Army Depot near Texarkana.  She also lived with an elderly lady for a while helping with her household needs.

After marrying ET, Pearl lived in and near Winthrop, Arkansas.  For several years they spent summers in Colorado where ET worked in logging.  Not long after their children became school age, they finally settled in a home near Miller Community not too far from Arkinda and Foreman, Arkansas.  Pearl loved gardening, growing herbs and flowers.  She loved to read, sew and became very talented at knitting and crochet.  Pearl was extremely compassionate and helpful to those around her.  She loved her family and made beautiful gifts of her handicrafts to give them.  Pearl and ET lived there for nearly 50 years until their health began to fail.

Pearl is survived by one son, Leonard Bush of New Boston, Texas; four daughters, Linda & Floyd Kinney of Horatio, Arkansas, Ruth & Ralph Ballard of Hurricane, Utah, Lorraine & Jerry Fisk of Nashville, Arkansas, and Evelyn Verbois of Lockesburg, Arkansas; 19 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren; five sisters, Laura & Vester Adams of Norman, Oklahoma, Ethel  Carrell of LaVerkin, Utah, Ann & Norman Gubler of LaVerkin, Utah,  Irene & Glen Hardy of Many, Louisiana, Mary & Greg Bush of Redwater, Texas; and four brothers, Vernon & Anita Miller of West Valley City, Utah, Talmage & Barbara Miller of Ashdown, Arkansas, Melvin & Betty Miller of Crestview, Florida, and Joseph & Judy Miller of Sandy, UT; and sister-in-law, Peggy Miller.
