CEDAR CITY — Cedar City police officers responded to a report of a robbery of the Wells Fargo Bank located at 797 South Main Street in Cedar City at around 2 p.m. on Saturday.
The suspect is described as being a man in his 60s with gray hair. He was last seen wearing a dark colored, oversized coat and a tan or khaki colored hat.
The suspect entered the bank and handed the teller a note demanding money; he received an undisclosed amount of cash and left the bank on foot. There were no indications that the suspect possessed a weapon, according to a statement provided by the Cedar City Police.
Officers from the Cedar City Police Department and neighboring agencies searched the area looking for the suspect and evidence. The investigation is ongoing at the time of this report.
Police are seeking information for identifying and locating the robbery suspect. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Cedar City Police Department at 435-586-2956.
