ST. GEORGE – Brian Head Resort announced it will open the only Bagjump in Utah on Saturday. A Bagjump is massive airbag, 50 feet by 50 feet that sits 10 feet off of the ground, Brian Head Sales and Marketing Coordinator Kevin Robison said.
A Bagjump allows skiers and snowboarders to practice their jumps in a safer way before they venture out onto the trails, Robison said.
Brian Head has installed 25 foot and 35 foot jumps that can be accessed with a newly installed surface lift allowing skiers and snowboarders to practice their jumps.
The Bagjump will be in operation on weekends and everyday during holiday periods from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Robison said.
Bagjump tickets can be purchased separately from a lift ticket for $10 for one jump, which includes one practice jump, or $20 for an all day pass. Bagjump season passes can be purchased for $79 for season pass holders or $99 for non season pass holders.
Brian Head resort was established in 1964 and offers guests access to 650 acres of lift-served trails with an average snowfall of nearly 400 inches of light Utah powder.
Brian Head Resort is located approximately 60 minutes from St. George. The 1,320 feet of lift-served vertical is accessible by eight chair lifts. The area features a ski and snowboard school, terrain parks and tubing.
