TOQUERVILLE — A Toquerville man, missing since Saturday night was found somewhere in Arizona at approximately 12 p.m. Sunday. Orin Heideman, the 93-year-old man went missing at approximately 7 p.m. Saturday. His family and friends, with help from local rescue agencies, searched for him throughout the night and into Sunday morning.

The specific location where he was found wasn’t yet released, but he is reported to be OK, his grandson, Alex Chamberlain, told St. George News.

“We are all very relieved and grateful for the help we’ve received from the community to find Grandpa,” Chamberlain said. “We’re also looking forward to hearing the tale of this adventure.”

Heideman has had a history of mini strokes and his family was worried that if he had one, he may have become disoriented, Chamberlain said.

Orin Heideman has been a resident of Toquerville for approximately 50 years, and is a World War II veteran, Chamberlain said.

Glad this gentleman was found OK. Don’t know if it was our SAR team that found him or not, but those folks on the team certainly are a dedicated bunch!
