Jake T. Ence

unnamed(August 17, 1988 – December 17, 2013)

Jake T. Ence, age 25, passed away December 17, 2013 in Ivins, Utah. He was born August 17, 1988, in St. George, Utah, to Robert Kay and Shelly Marie Taylor Ence.

Jake grew up in Ivins and graduated from Snow Canyon High School, class of 2007. His nature was kind, exciting and loving. Jake was gifted in most everything. He lit up the room whenever he entered and was loved by everyone. He radiated gentleness and sincerity. After meeting Jake for the first time you felt as if you had known him for a lifetime. He was kindhearted, genuine, non judgmental and endearing.

Jake was an exceptional athlete, excelling in extreme sports. He loved motorcycling, wake boarding, snowboarding, with his many cousins and friends, and also skateboarding, which he placed in the Summer Games in his younger years. He also enjoyed the outdoors especially hunting, horse riding, and pack trips with family and friends. He loved helping his father, grandfather, uncle Irv and Brent with the cattle. Jake was loved by all and was especially revered by his nephew and niece, Milo and Cambree. His family will miss him dearly, but know he will always be close by because his favorite place to be was home.

There is one more empty saddle in the barn, but one more Hero in Heaven. We love you Jake. We may be separated temporarily but you will never be forgotten.

Surviving family include his parents, Robert and Shelly Ence of Ivins, UT; two brothers, Brandon (Camille) Ence and Taylor (Taryn) Ence both of Ivins; his nephew and niece, Milo and Cambree; grandparents, Kay and Ellen Ence of Ivins, UT and grandmother, Randee Taylor of Gunlock, UT.
