About The Habit

The Habit opened in Santa Barbara, California in 1969. Soon after, 16-year-old Brent Reichard got his first job there flipping burgers and a few years later he and his brother Bruce made the life-changing decision to buy it. Through hard work and dedication The Habit has grown, but remains focused on one simple philosophy: always deliver high quality food and great service at reasonable prices. Earlier this year, the Habit debuted two restaurants in the greater Salt Lake City area.

The problem as I see it from an outsider’s point of view is that the majority of St. George patrons rate value over quality. In other words, most folks here want large portions of food at a price point under $20.00 per person. That just doesn’t work for a fine dinning experience from a notable chef.
