IRON COUNTY – A Glendale woman was killed Monday afternoon after a semi rolled off state Route 20.
Around 4:25 p.m., Monday, a semi pulling two coal trailers and traveling westbound on SR-20 was having brake trouble according to what witnesses told the Utah Highway Patrol.
Driven by Kaynita Spencer, 47, of Glendale, Utah, witnesses said the brakes were smoking for several miles. When the driver attempted to make a left from SR-20 to a frontage road west of I-15, the semi overturned and rolled off the west side and into a pit. Spencer sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene.
