ST. GEORGE – A rollover occurred on Red Hills Parkway Tuesday morning blocking traffic and requiring the driver to be extricated.
Just after 7 a.m., Monday, on Red Hills Parkway just north of Skyline Drive, according to the St. George Police, a Dodge Ram pickup “went up onto the center median, over-corrected to the right, went off the road and up a side hill. The truck rolled over once and came to rest on its tires blocking both south bound lanes of traffic.”
The driver received minor injuries, including cuts and bruises, to his face and head. He had to be extricated from the pickup and was transported by ambulance to Dixie Regional Medical Center as a precautionary measure.
Police said they believe the driver fell asleep, and he was given a citation for failing to remain in a single lane.
