ST. GEORGE – Tragedy was narrowly avoided Tuesday evening when a man drove head-on into another vehicle on St. George Boulevard.
Tyson Glore, 33, of St. George, was allegedly huffing from a can of Dust Off while driving east on St. George Boulevard, according to a report issued by Sgt. Sam Despain of the St. George Police Department.
“Tyson drove up over the south curb on the Boulevard and ran over one of the landscaping trees in front of Iceburg Drive-in,” Despain wrote. Glore then crossed to the other side of the road and drove over the median and into oncoming traffic.
Nearby, two St. George Police Officers who were investigating an unrelated crime, watched as Glore drove head-on into another vehicle, driven by a woman with two young children in her car at around 6:40 p.m.
“This mother saw Tyson driving at them, she stopped and began honking to no avail, Tyson hit them head on,” wrote Despain. “Miraculously no one was injured.”
The product Dust Off, that Glore was apparently huffing, is used for cleaning computers and other sensitive electronic equipment. While it’s sometimes referred to as “canned-air,” the product contains the refrigerant, difluorethane, which can be abused and has been the cause of multiple fatal accidents nation-wide.
Glore was arrested and charged with a DUI, psycho-toxic chemical abuse, criminal mischief, and reckless driving. Glore was booked into Purgatory Correctional Facility.
Ed. Note: Persons charged are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law or as otherwise decided by a trier-of-fact.

oooooooooooh how I wish I was at the SGPD when he came in…I’d have so gotten BigBadMomma on him and slapped him silly!! that’s what huffers, texters, and phone users need…a big ol’ slap!
I’m with you Maudie, but you would then have been arrested for assault. To me not worth it.
Say what you want. But I would have had no problem going to jail for assault if he hit me AND my kids. He would have been walking funny for some time too after shoving that can of dust off you know where.
My kids and I were the ones this guy hit last night. I’m furious that all of the charges were misdemeanors. He could’ve killed us!
So glad you and your kids were not hurt! It makes me sick how disgusting people can be! He really should have been charged with a fellony. I hope you sue him and take him for everything… Which probably isn’t much, but still.
Unbelievable. A 33-year year old man huffing Dust Off like a bored teenager! Reminds me of that mess on Intervention who says it makes her feel like she’s “walkin’ on sunshine!!” Well I am so sorry Elizabeth for you and your kids, and your car. Maybe they’ll send this doofus to the Bloomington recovery center, and the angry neighborhood residents there will seek some justice for you.
Geeze, what a winner! Put your spray can (or needle) down and DRIVE people!
