Specialty – Isaiah Davis, Central Washington (DB, 5-10, 176, So., Bremerton, WA – South Kitsap) had 100 return yards for the Wildcats, netting 66 on four punt returns and 34 on two kickoff returns and providing valuable field position in a 7-3 win at Azusa Pacific.

GNAC COMPETES IN SUPER REGIONAL III: The GNAC will compete in Super Regional III this fall for the second year in a row. Also part of the 44-team Super Regional III is the MIAA (Mid-America), the Great American Conference and the Northern Sun. Six teams from each of the four regions qualify for the playoffs.
EARNED ACCESS: “Earned access” berths are awarded to conferences which have a team ranked in the Top 8 in their region. Six teams from each region qualify for the playoffs. The impact of earned access is that if a team is ranked seventh or eighth, but qualifies for the earned access berth, it would qualify for the playoffs, displacing a team ranked above it in the top six. With only five playoff-eligible members, the GNAC does not currently receive an earned access berth. Azusa Pacific is a provisional NCAA member and is not eligible for the playoffs.

Western Oregon 30, Simon Fraser 9 (at Burnaby): Joe Harris rushed for 86 yards and two touchdowns and Jesse Correa kicked three field goals and three extra points leading the Wolves to a 21-point win at Terry Fox Field … Correa booted field goals of 26, 36 and 19 yards to give WOU a 9-6 halftime lead.
