Traffic stop gets three men arrested for drug distribution

WASHINGTON CITY – Three men were arrested on drug charges after a traffic stop led to the discovery of alleged narcotics possibly packaged for distribution.

Ed Kantor, of the Washington City Police, said that at around 4 p.m., Wednesday, a Wasington City Police officer stopped a vehicle for a registration violation while on routine patrol.

During the stop officers found a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia in the car. Preliminary field tests on the substance returned positive for possible cocaine. The alleged cocaine also appeared to be packaged for distribution.

The three men in the car, Daniel Zitting, 22, of Helper, Utah; Tyrone Barlow, 20, of Colorado City, and Enoch Barlow, 19, of St. George, were arrested on multiple drug charges related to drug possession, distribution, and paraphernalia. Zitting was additionally charged with traffic violations related to the traffic stop.

The three men were booked into the Purgatory Correctional Facility.

Ed. Note: Persons charged are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law or as otherwise decided by a trier-of-fact.

There is a lesson somewhere in here. Don’t carry drugs in a vehicle that has registration violations( what does that mean ANYWAY?), expired registration, no insurance, make sure your tail lights work ect. Just sayin’

Apparently if people were that smart they would probably be out looking for jobs rather than attempting to distribute narcotics. :-))

Hey fellow free thinker ladybugavenger. You already know but I’ll just let the folks at home know what expired registration means. It means that even if you paid for your car and have the title, it doesn’t mean you own it. Nope, that’s why if its not registered with the state, they can take it from you. So that means the state owns it. And it owns the people. ;). Wake up slaves. What in the world do we ha e all these lice.see and registrations and taxes and fines and fees and bogus stuff for? Bcus we are owned. I’m trying to help people break their invisible chains though.

Ignorance is bliss… The state does NOT own your car! Driving is a privilege, not a right. Why should someone who does not pay their vehicle tax (which pays for roads, repairs, etc) be able to drive on the roads that everyone who does pay their vehicle tax, pays for??? Also, usually your car (depending on age) needs a safety inspection at the time of registration as well. This is NOT because the state wants you to take good care of their car, but to ensure it is safe to be on the road with other people and vehicles. A faulty vehicle and and does cause a lot of injuries to people and property! Now the state owns people too??? Wow! Double wow!!! That would imply that we would need permission to move out of this state if we want to. Oh wait, maybe they can barter you with a state that may need your skills… Yeah that’s it!!!

I looked up the code that the driver violated and I Don’ t understand it. I took it as the car is from another state and not registered in Utah.

The article does not say expired registration…it says registration violation. I looked up the code that i got from bookings, where it does say expired registration but the code talks about something that I don’t understand…I took it as the vehicle was registered in another state and not in Utah…anyone know? Mori do you know if the plates are from Utah and/or the vehicle had expired registration?

Hey yeah that’s a weird charge. I dnt knw. I also dnt really comment on the articles specifically very often. Just overall. Point is, any charge dealing with registration or license or tax or whatever is bogus. Not necessary for a free state.

To Jon, you think those things can’t be paid for with all our other taxes? The federal income tax is unconstitutional and doesn’t go towards any infrastructure needs. The state tax is there regardless of people driving. Do you know about when people for drivers licenses and why?

Traveling is a right. Regardless if you drive or ride or horse and carriage.
