Man arrested for stealing, selling roommates’ guns

ST. GEORGE – Police arrested a St. George man Tuesday for multiple counts of firearms theft.

Roommates of Kenneth Kimber, 38, of St. George, contacted the St. George Police claiming Kimber had allegedly been taking their firearms and other property and selling it.

Kimber has been living at the same residence for a number of years and may have been engaged in the alleged thefts over the period of time, St. George Police Sgt. Sam Despain said. Police investigated the roommates’ claims and found probable cause to arrest Kimber on eight second-degree felony counts of firearms theft, and one third-degree count of theft of property worth between $1,500-$5,000.

Kimber was booked into the Purgatory Correctional Facility. Bail stands at $85,000.

Persons arrested or charged with a crime are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law or as otherwise decided by a trier-of-fact.
