Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore to celebrate fifth anniversary

ST. GEORGE – The Habitat for Humanity of Southwest Utah’s ReStore is celebrating its fifth anniversary on Saturday and the public is invited to join in the festivities.

The ReStore is a discount improvement outlet where people, contractors and businesses can donate items that are in resalable condition, saving those items from the landfill, while also helping Habitat for Humanity of Southwest Utah.

Our growth and success over the last five years has been amazing thanks to the support of the community,” event organizers stated in a press release.

The proceeds generated by the ReStore are used to help Habitat continue its mission of providing decent, affordable housing for low-income families in Washington County.

This year instead of just celebrating their anniversary, the ReStore has invited other non-profits and recycling vendors in the community to join them. “The community has given us so much and we have such an amazing campus we wanted to show support to other organizations,” the event organizers added.

Every donation or purchase makes a difference. Each of our customers makes a difference. Come celebrate with us,” event organizers said in the release.

Pizza Hut, popcorn, cotton candy, games for kids and a dunk tank will be on hand at the event.

Event recap:

  • Time: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 14
  • Location: 267 East 1400 South, St. George
  • Cost: Tickets will be 50 cents each. Prices will vary on other items.

People can also find the ReStore online at www.facebook.com/SWUrestore. Questions can reach the store at 435-628-4041 or Habitat for Humanity of Southwest Utah’s office at 435-674-7669.

“Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore to celebtare fifth anniversary”

Interesting headline. I’m unfamiliar with celebtare. Perhaps it’s a Utah word, like “tryantula” and “hurricun.”
