SALT LAKE CITY – How are you paying for college? The Utah Higher Education Assistance Authority is pleased to announce the fall 2013 lineup of regional financial aid nights.
The following presentations will be be held in Southern Utah:
Washington County
Sept. 11, 6-8 p.m.
Pine View High School, 2850 East 750 North, St. George
Iron County
Sept. 12, 6-8 p.m.
Cedar High School, 703 West 600 South, Cedar City

Potential students and their families are invited to attend these public, informational events where you can learn about options for paying for college and visit with representatives from various Utah colleges and universities.
Past participants have successfully learned about the Free Application for Federal Student Aid and how everyone should apply for it, work study and how you can use it to help pay for college, different types of loans. These presentations build confidence in how to navigate scholarships and applications.
Parents and students in grades 9-12 are encouraged to attend and take advantage of these resources and opportunities. More information is available on the Utah Higher Education Facebook page; questions should be directed to [email protected].

One great way to pay for college is to join a public service organization and work there full-time for 10 years while making minimum payments consecutively during those 10 years. If you do this, you will qualify for loan forgiveness. No matter how much you owe after that, the rest is history.
