  • Northbound on-ramp for Interstate 15 at St. George Boulevard will be reduced to two lanes by Friday for ramp reconstruction and widening.
  • Crews will do the same work to each ramp until all four ramps have been widened. Each ramp will take approximately two to three weeks to complete.
  • Motorists can expect traffic shifts and changing lane configurations on the ramps throughout widening work.

Work being done on the St. George Boulevard/Exit 8 Interchange began July 29 and is being done at night to avoid daytime traffic congestion. The interchange is being converted into a Diverging-Diamond Interchange, or DDI, which is designed to help reduce traffic congestion by providing a smoother access on and off I-15.

New construction will also provide a “pedestrian facility,” allowing safer pedestrian access from St. George Boulevard to the River Road/Red Cliffs Drive intersection.

Construction is slated to end before Black Friday, Nov. 25.

Nightly construction schedule:

  • Sunday through Thursday nights from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following mornings
  • Friday nights from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. the following morning
  • Saturday nights from 11 p.m. to 8 a.m. the following morning
