Twins arrested for drug distribution, possession

WASHINGTON – The Washington County Drug Task Force arrested a pair of 21-year-old twin males Tuesday on drug distribution and possession charges.

After receiving multiple complaints from neighbors surrounding a residence on North Graham Manor Drive, St. George Police Capt. Kyle Whitehead said Washington City Police and the Washington County Drug Task Force began to investigate the property.

The home was placed under surveillance and the task force observed suspicious activity. The task force soon executed a search warrant and found brothers, Jaden Mickelsen and Jared Mickelsen, both 21, inside. Both men are accused of being in possession of  oxycodone, a prescription medication, at the time of their arrests.

According to the probable cause statement, the task force investigation determined Jaden Mickelsen was allegedly distributing the drugs to others.

Both men were arrested and booked into the Purgatory Correctional Facility. Jaden Mickelsen has been charged with first-degree felony drug possession with intent to distribute and a class-A misdemeanor for drug paraphernalia. Jordan Mickelsen has been charged with second-degree felony drug possession and a class-A misdemeanor for drug paraphernalia.

Persons arrested or charged are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law or as otherwise decided by a trier-of-fact.

“My Evil Twin”…no wonder I missed your comments this morning.

Watched these two grow up off and on since they were 5 or 6. They’ve really struggled with the hand they were dealt. There’s still hope for them if they could learn some new life skills and tools to move forward with. Something they haven’t been exposed to yet and would be more useful than what was taught to them.

Really? There are many people have “struggled with the hand they were dealt” and have done so without getting involved with drugs. What they lack is activity – like a job or school. I’ve had many encounters with the dynamic duo. They are immature and seem to be unwillingly to be accountable for their lives and the poor decisions they seem to consistently make.

      Boo Hoo….
Many people “struggle” and DO NOT turn to drugs as a quick cure all.
A swift kick in the … will help them “move forward.”

Thanks to both law enforcement agencies in trying to keep our neighborhoods a safe place to live. There is a rather significant drug problem in this area that seems to fly under the radar. Most citiizens are not aware of the magnitiude of the problem.

They are good people and would give you the shirt off your back. They just got sucked into the drug world and could not get out.Drugs control your whole life sometimes you don’t realize what your doing. They made a mistake and everyone makes mistakes some worse than others but we all do it. All the cops did was get someone who was selling them off the streets but you need to stop blaming the little people and ask ourselves where did they get the pills originally what doctor gave them the pills? They are the people who should be punished they are careless if they stopped that then we wouldn’t have this problem. These boys are good people and with big hearts they just got caught up in the wrong thing. I know they want to be better and have asked for help several times. They wanted it out so bad but once you get in its so hard to get out its like your sinking in quick sand. I stand by these boys a hundred percent.

Oh yeah, it only took you four months to stand behind them. Is that because you were in jail all this time?
