Joseph Anthony Graham, 21, of St. George, was taken into custody yesterday at 10:30 p.m. and booked into the county jail on a class-B misdemeanor warrant issued by Washington County Justice Court Judge Douglas Whitlock. The warrant stemmed from charges of domestic violence in the presence of a child, Shultz said. He escaped the Sheriff’s custody at the facility today.

“We do not consider him armed or dangerous,” Shultz said.

Graham acted alone, he said, no other inmates attempted escape with him.

Anyone with information on Graham or his whereabouts is asked to call 911.

Graham is described as a 21-year-old white male, approximately 6 feet 3 inches tall, 170 pounds. He has hazel eyes, brown hair and a slender build.

In the interest of security, Shultz said the Department is declining to release any specific details on the escape.

The swat team was out in full force in Bloomington, off of Tonaquint Drive, looking for a fugitive. They’ve left, but I don’t know if they found him or not.
