Barbara Sue Warkentin Dudynsky

(September 8, 1950 – August 5, 2013)

Barbara was an angel who was called home to re-join her parents and other loved ones on August 5th, 2013. Barbara was born to Dan and Alice Warkentin on September 8, 1950 in Provo, Utah.

Barbara graduated from Bonneville High School in 1969. She married and later divorced. During the marriage she had a son, Adam (Jamie) Dudynsky, now residing in California.

Barbara was an absolute joy to be around, even up to her last breath of life. She enjoyed quilting, cooking and crocheting. She especially loved to play cards with friends and family and was fortunate to do this even up to her last days. Barbara was hard-working and very Independent. She loved her job as Head Cashier at the West St. George Home Depot in St. George, Utah. She loved her fellow co-workers, they were here family there. It broke her heart when she became to ill to work.

Barbara was a strong-willed soul and showed she was a fighter throughout her lifetime. This proved to be true when she began her courageous battle with cancer in 2011. Her biggest concern before her death was not death itself, but rather that of being a burden. She was an amazing woman and she will be truly missed. Barbara, we love you for all ETERNITY!

She is survived by John (Diana) Warkentin; Bill (Louise) Warkentin; Shirley Evane and two grandchildren, Nathan Winward and Megan (Zena) Winward, as well as five other adopted grandchildren, whom she loved dearly. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Please join us for a Celebration of Life as we remember Barbara on August 11th at the home of her brother John, 2536 N. 3425 W. Plain City, UT from 1-4 pm. This will be a special time to reflect on memories of her. Bring pictures and thoughts. A memorial will be held in St. George at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donate to a charity of your choice.

A special thanks to John and Diana for opening their home and taking care of Barbara during her last days; also to Access Hospice for their support and help.
