ST. GEORGE – After responding to the report of a 92-year-old man gone missing Tuesday morning, St. George Police located him downtown St. George in good condition by early afternoon.

Ronald Bucher was reported missing by Beehive Homes, located at 2397 South River Road, where he is a community resident. Police were told he had gone for a walk at approximately 8:30 a.m. and had not returned. He goes for walks often yet is never gone for long periods of time, which began to concern staff at Beehive Homes.

With temperatures expected to reach 100 degrees Tuesday, there were concerns for Bucher’s welfare and police began to search the area in which Bucher was last seen and spread out from there. The Department also released a missing person notice over Facebook and Twitter.

Around 2 p.m., Bucher was located in St George. He had walked to downtown St George where residents in the area saw him and assisted him in getting a taxi. Bucher was found to be in good health and spirits and suffered no injury.

The St George Police Department issued a statement thanking all those who assisted in looking for and locating Bucher.
