ST. GEORGE – A two-car crash temporarily impeded access to Red Rock Commons on 100 South Tuesday around 1:40 p.m. on the east side of the 100 South River Road intersection.

St. George Police Sgt. Craig Harding said a white car was crossing 100 South from parking lot to parking lot when the driver failed to notice a brown car traveling toward the intersection from the east.  The brown car side-impacted the white car, leaving both cars stuck in the middle of the road in front of the access to the Red Rock Commons parking lot.

The driver of the brown car was unharmed, while the driver of white car was taken to Dixie Regional Medical Center. Harding was unable to verify the driver’s condition.

The driver of the white car was cited for not yielding to throughway traffic, Harding said.

The scene and vehicles were cleared by 2:15 p.m.
