ST. GEORGE – At approximately 2:30 p.m. today, emergency crews responded to a two-car collision on Red Cliffs Drive.

Although none of the passengers were taken to the hospital, both cars were taken away on wreckers.

A 4-door sedan traveling west on Red Cliffs Drive came up the hill away from the Red Cliffs Mall, St. George Police Capt. Michael Giles said, when it drifted over the middle line and struck a light colored Chrysler 300 car traveling in the opposite direction.

The driver of the first vehicle, Ronnie Davis, said he was tired from working a night shift.

Davis had his young daughter in the car with him. Neither of them sustained injuries requiring transport.

An elderly couple and their dog were in the light colored Chrysler 300 involved in the collision. The couple was wearing seat belts and had their dog in a pet box secured in the back seat. Although shaken, none of them were transported for medical attention.

Speed of travel does not appear to have been a factor, Giles said. The accident is still under investigation.
