HURRICANE – A head-on crash between two vehicles on state Route 9 in Hurricane Friday injured one man who was transported by Life Flight to University Medical Center in Las Vegas.
Officers and medical personnel from the Hurricane City Police Department and Hurricane Valley Fire and Rescue responded to the accident, which occurred at approximately 1:40 p.m. in the area of SR-9 and 2600 West.
Each vehicle had one occupant, although the other person involved in the crash was not transported.
A preliminary investigation indicates one vehicle made a left turn in front of the other vehicle. Eastbound traffic was restricted to one lane only for around 50 minutes.
The Hurricane City Police Department, in its released statement, thanked the community for the patience displayed as traffic flow was affected in the accident area.
