ST. GEORGE – Northbound traffic on River Road near the 100 South intersection was slowed to one lane after two pickup trucks were involved in a rear-end collision.
Around 4:15 p.m., St. George Police responded to an accident in front of the Applebee’s restaurant on River Road. A large pickup had been rear-ended by a smaller white pickup. The St. George Fire Department and Dixie Ambulance also responded to the incident.
An adult man in the large truck complained of head and neck pain from the impact and was taken to Dixie Regional Medical Center. A woman in the smaller truck was also taken to the hospital. The extent of their injuries is unknown.
The larger truck was able to be driven away while the smaller vehicle had to to be towed.
The scene was cleared by 4:50 p.m.
