ST. GEORGE – Friday night the Desert Hills Thunder grabbed a share of first place in Region 9 with a 2-0 whitewashing of the Dixie Flyers at Thunder Stadium.
No one would blame Dixie if the Flyers said they didn’t want to schedule Desert Hills anymore. Against the rest of Region 9, the Flyers are 5-0 and have out-scored opponents 10-1. Against the Thunder, Dixie is 0-2 and has been out-scored 3-0.
Vincent Enfield shut Dixie out for the second time this season and the Thunder got second-half goals from Tanner Browning and Chase Thompson.
Dixie goal keeper Tristan Cowles had only allowed one goal in the last five matches before Friday.
