ST. GEORGE – A number of officers from the Las Vegas Metro Police Department were seen passing through Santa Clara and St. George this afternoon, finally making a stop at Chuck-O-Rama on River Road.

The 24 motor officers were taking part in a 400-mile endurance ride that starts in Las Vegas and goes through St. George as a part of their training. Once in St. George, they hit a local restaurant and then head back home.

“Every so often the Las Vegas motor units pass though on a training day,” St. George Police Sgt. Sam Despain said.

Other endurance rides taken by the motor officers sketch across parts of Nevada and  go  into Arizona.
