HURRICANE – Intermountain Hurricane Valley Clinic’s LiVe Well Expo will take place March 20. Health screenings, ways to create healthy meals, and a myriad of health and wellness topics will be features and discussed.
Community members of all ages are invited to participate.
“There is no admission charge for this event and no appointment is necessary for any of the screenings,” event coordinator Caitlyn O’Connell said. “Health screenings and medical advice will be offered by several healthcare professionals who volunteer their time for this free event.”
New this year will be a healthy cooking demonstration by Dixie Regional Executive Chef Larry Petrlak. Chef Larry brings more than 30 years of experience and passion to Dixie Regional Medical Center and is always looking for delicious ways to create healthy meals. His presentation will begin at 5:10 p.m. and people are encouraged to taste test the food.
Screenings and assessments that will be administered by health care professionals at the expo include body composition analysis, blood glucose and cholesterol testing, balance testing and oximetry reading.
Information on weight management, heart disease, physician referral resources and several other health and wellness topics will be available.
The RESEP Clinic will also offer counsel for Downwinders.
