ST. GEORGE – The Village Bank’s president, Douglas Bringhurst, announced promotions yesterday for two key staff members: E. Kip Bowler and Kenneth A. Miller.  Bowler has been named senior vice president and senior loan officer while Miller has been appointed vice president and chief operations officer.

“Kip Bowler and Kenny Miller are both natives of Southern Utah,” Bringhurst said, “and both are involved in and dedicated to the local community.  They know the area and the people who live here, and they have been key players in our effort to make The Village Bank the area’s first choice for banking services.”

Bowler graduated from Dixie High School and Dixie State College (now Dixie State University) and earned his bachelor’s degree from Southern Utah University. He has been involved in his family’s ranching operation his entire life and managed a cattle operation for the Smith’s ranch for three years prior to coming to The Village Bank in 1999. He has served on The Washington County Fair Board and the Utah Bankers AG Committee and is currently the chairman of the Gunlock Special Service District. He resides in Gunlock with his wife, née Lisa Kohler, and three children.

Miller has been with The Village Bank since 2002.  He graduated from Dixie High School in 1990 and served in the Utah National Guard for eight years before continuing his education at Dixie State College, Southern Utah University, and Utah State University.  Miller currently serves on the Dixie State University Alumni Board and Institute for Business Integrity Board. He and his wife née former Kasi Provstgaard, have three children and reside in St. George.

The Village Bank is a full-service, FDIC-insured financial institution located at 294 E. Tabernacle St, offering a wide range of traditional banking services and is a leader in commercial mortgage loans and residential construction loans.
