ST. GEORGE – A series of residential burglaries on the east side of St. George have been reported over the last month. Police are asking homeowners to secure their homes and to report any potentially suspicious activity.
In the past month, the St. George Police Department has responded on numerous residential burglaries on the east side of town. These burglaries are occurring between Mall Drive and 3050 East, Red Cliffs Drive and Riverside Drive.
Many of these burglaries have occurred during daylight hours. The Department has received reports the individual(s) rings the doorbell to see if anyone is home, if no one answers they walk around the house looking for unlocked doors and windows. If they find any unsecure doors or windows, they make entry into the house through it.
Once inside they take small carry-size electronics and jewelry. The Police have received one report where the resident has been home when the individual(s) rang the doorbell, and when they didn’t answer the individual came around back and entered through the unlocked back door.
Police ask residents to keep their doors and windows secure. If anyone has seen anyone or anything suspicious, please call the police. If anyone has witnessed anything that may be related to these crimes, please contact Detective Wilson with the St. George Police Department at 435-627-4301.

For heaven’s sake, folks LOCK YOUR DOORS and WINDOWS! It isn’t rocket surgery, or brain science you know. Make your place just a bit harder to get into, than your neighbors. That will eliminate at least 75% of the burglaries and thefts around here!
Exactly! Perhaps one of these days this brazen loser will walk into the wrong house, and won’t be able to walk out.
Rocket surgery? Haha, that’s a new one!
“Rocket surgery” haha
