ST. GEORGE – The St. George Art Museum is hosting its quarterly Art on Main, an art centered walking-tour Friday evening downtown, featuring local artists of both pen and brush, music and voice. The tour begins at 6 p.m. at the St. George Art Museum, continuing through the fine art galleries from 200 North to Tabernacle Street.
Art on Main is a project of St. George art advocate Art Around the Corner, whose flagship project included the downtown outdoor sculpture exhibit.
Featured artists will be in attendance creating and talking about their artwork and local talented musicians will also add to the evening by performing live music within the galleries. Participants will appreciate fine art from statewide artists James Christiansen and David Koch, Southern Utah talents Kate Starling and Jeff Ham, and young emerging artists, with each gallery presenting different collections.
Punch cards obtained at the St. George Art Museum, can be turned in at Twenty-Five Main Café for a chance to win a piece of artwork in a 9 p.m. drawing at the end of the event.
Art on Main is free to the public, and will be held again on June 14, Oct. 11 and Dec. 13.
