Marathon training and fun runs through scenic Washington City; Dogtown Half Marathon

WASHINGTON CITY – The Dogtown Half Marathon, held this Saturday in Washington City, offers quality marathon training for runners of all levels.

Starting at 9 a.m., the half marathon follows a scenic 13.2 mile course from Coral Canyon to Treasure Valley Park. It is a perfect training distance for full marathons and any racer, from beginner to veteran. Looped 9K and 5K runs starting and ending at Treasure Valley Park will also be offered for any runner age eight and over.

The race is sponsored by 1 Law, the St. George Running Center, the St. George Convention and Tourism Office, Zion Harley-Davidson, the Extra Mile Insurance Agency, Coral Canyon Realty and Cache Valley Bank.

Registration for the half marathon costs $45 and can be done online; the runs cost $30.
